Musical Expression is a band of young brothers all from the New Orleans area who all share the same love and passion for music. The band M.E. (Musical Expression) evolved in 2014 from a previous band that Alijah Jett was the band leader of back in 2010. Band leader Alijah Jett met most of the band in high school at Mcdonogh 35 high school and NOCCA. The 2 newest members of the band he met at Xavier University his freshmen year. The band took on the name Musical Expression when Jett had a different but very specific vision for the band. Jett wanted to do more than just play some songs on stage for a crowd of people. He wanted to touch people in the audience with the music that was coming from his instrument and he needed a band of people who could enhance this vision. People who would be on the same page with his vision. Spectators always ask why we call ourselves Musical Expression. Well the answer is quite simple. The best way musicians express themselves is through music and one of the greatest ways of spreading joy is through music. Musical Expression is about connecting with a total stranger in the audience and making them feel exactly how we feel on stage. As artist we want them to feel like they are apart of this great experience that is happening right before their eyes. We just want everyone to Join M.E.
